We don't really do gifts, but we had a nice Christmas with my son.  Then on the 27th my stepson, his gf, and my 2yo granddaughter arrived for a two weeks stay.  We have a full house and lots of noise, lol.

It was supposed to be a lean Xmas.  My wife's company pulled a fast one and only paid 1/4 salary for the last pay period, plus she found out today they are cutting all salaries by a minimum of 5%.

But, Xmas cheer abounded.  My daughter spent her first Xmas aware of what was happening, and between what we had socked away and what my parents did, I am happy to say she had a wonderful day.

For me, I got four games (FIFA 09, Top Spin 3, EndWar and the Banjo-Kazooie).  I got several books (my favorite being one which came with three dvd-roms containing the front page of every issue of the New York Times from 1851-2008 - a pretty good history book).  But my real gifts were a 50-inch plasma a friend of my wife's gave us (he was upgrading to 60-inch) a couple of weeks ago, and today and I got my new laptop computer (which isn't a gift per se, but a necessity for school and we needed to include it in my tuition loan this semester) since my old one crapped out.  It is pretty sweet having a laptop which performs!

Best gift came the morning after Xmas though.  My father-in-law stayed with us and was behaving for a change.  Just as I dropped him off at the bus station he started a knockdown drag out fight with me and it will be a cold day in hell when he returns .... and my wife agrees!  Now to work on the mother-in-law ......

The new TV I bought last month was my Christmas gift this year. My wife and I decided not to exchange and just bought for the kids this year.

Our Christmas was fairly non-existent on account of our impending wedding (two weeks away... sheesh).  I've been thinking about picking up FIFA for myself, but mostly I'm a bit burned out.  Let us know how you like Fallout... I had a very nice Christmas.  My wife got me a bicycle!  I'm really looking forward to going on bike rides with the kids when the weather warms up...
 
I also got Fallout 3 and NFL Head Coach for the 360.  In addition, for the 360, I got a set of wireless headphones that also have a mic.  I can hear things now that I never heard before, and it's less distracting to my wife when I play games (because I can mute the TV).  Smile  For my laptop, I got Worldwide Soccer Manager 2009.  I also got some books and clothes.
