Kent State sticks to a solid running game augmented by a 9-12-4 performance by its quarterback and beats Northern Illinois 42-28. After going into halftime up 14-0 and despite losing their starting HB to a knee injury, Kent never relinquished their lead and held off a fourth quarter assault.
N. Ill was hampered by 4 turnovers while the Golden Flashes had none. |
