Jake and I did an experiment today and it was pretty fun.  We built a fight card and fought it out.  I think it would be fun to have as many people here as are interested participate.  The most fun is with your own created fighters, but if you don't want to play career and use CPU fighters that is ok.  If you use your own fighter you can pick which fighter you want to match up with.  It works with two people and could work with as many as there are fights on the card.  We went with 8 fights to try it out, which is more than normal, but 5 to 7 fights is easy and can be done in an hour or two with two people and even less with more people fighting at the same time.  We figure we could just make a party room and people could just duke it out and stay in the room.

Jared, Jason, Derek, make some fighters and come join us.  You can even use beginning fighters that aren't retired.  We used our 24 rated fighters and they got K0'd, but if we have low rated fighters matching up against other lowbies than it will even out.

Right now we are thinking of running UFN's on Wednesday night and UFC's on Saturday night.  Completely casual, come and go as you please.  Hope you guys join us for some fun.

These fights were a lot of fun. i think if we get more guys to do this it could be really exciting especially if we more created guys at lower ratings. those guys just get killed if we use the lowest rated guy in that class.
Don't make a mistake or i'll POUNCE!

I'm in for sure and can create a fighter in each class if necessary. I just spent the past hour working on my ground game. There aren't many games that I'd spend so much time working on individual aspects of it like this.

May I asked how you did that, Jason?  "Worked on your ground game,' I mean?

Sure, I went into the practice area (under tutorial) and selected "Grapple Attack" only for the CPU. That allows me to work on my offensive and defensive ground game (I'd use transitions and grapples only - no punches).

And does he keep after you?  I tried setting it up to do some defensive transitions/escapes when I was defending various mounts, but once I escaped, we remained standing.  I wasn't in the mood to keep resetting, so I left.

Yes, he keeps coming after you when you are standing. It's a great way way to practice blocking/reversing throws and takedowns too.
