Relaunch of Sports Gaming Nation

You may have noticed that things have changed quite a bit at Sports Gaming Nation since your last visit. Due to the amount of members, traffic and number of posts on the old SGN forum, I had to move the site to a new forum package which is powered by a highend database (MS SQL 2005 for all you geeks out there ). This new database will give SGN the room to grow in the years to come and should speed up the forum quite a bit.

This was something that I knew was going to happen at some point and kept putting it off until I was forced to make the switch. Unfortunately, all the user accounts and posts cannot be imported into the new forum and everyone will have to recreate their accounts again. I apologize for the inconvenience, but there was nothing I could do about the situation. I hope everyone will take the time to join again.

The forum software now being used is just a newer version of the old forum without the portal capabilities. Basically, the only thing missing will be the front page (which I think most people bypassed anyway) - the forum will be the entire site from now on. The forum functions will all remain the same, PM's will still be available to everyone and you'll still be able to maintain a 'Buddy List'.

The League, Ladder, Image Gallery and Auction sites will remain unchanged. The links to these sites are now along the top. If there's a feature missing that you'd like to have implemented, please send me a PM and let me know. Be aware that this forum is a work in progress and more features will be added all the time.

The old forum will remain open and available for people to read and search, although new posts will not be permitted. There's a good bit of history there and I'd hate to see it vanish. Here's a link to the old forum: http://www.sportsgamingnation.com/sgnportal/sgn/forum/defaul t.asp

Love the new digs!  Sorry I haven't had a chance to post lately, but I've been busy with school.  Just got Mvp 06, also, and I've been having a blast with it.  Anyways, I hope everyone's doing well.
