Fortunately the drive gave me some to to remember the things about FN3 I did not like. $29.99 is just to much for a game I have already played a lot of to begin with. Will leave that for you and jason to duke it out with. I did get PGR4 so I am good to go. -------------

I am good all night. Kinda excited to get back online again after last night. The racing and shooting games should really give a nice change of pace. Did I mention I really suck at the racing games? We are talking sixteen year old girl on the highway for the first time bad. -------------

I have no clue as to what that means? Is it something I have to get unlocked? Are you guys not good enough to use A-Class or too good for C-Class? Are the motorcycles B Class because I enjoyed racing with it and you can get some amazing crashes with one. -------------

B-Class means 'not-quite-supercars'. Plenty quick enough but not the absolute top-end of what the game has to offer speed wise. I think most classes have one or two motorbikes in there but I'm not sure of specifics for that class... Shouldn't have to unlock it, as far as I'm aware. |

Yeah, that was a lot of fun - thanks for tolerating my incredible level of chat. To clear up a couple of things: - I always have the headset on, I just can't talk once people are asleep near me. - That paintjob? It's a country-specific thing, and once you reach a certain point in career mode every single AI car has their national paintscheme too. I don't know how or why it became available to me, but I like it so I use it a fair amount. I didn't do anything special, though - whatever car I pick, it's there for me to choose. - I've got the Nurburgring unlocked (one of the first things I did when I first bought the game) but didn't get the chance to send a message saying so. Me hosting might be a bit problematic given my being unable to talk, though. Anyway...that was fun. Glad everyone else seemed to enjoy it too - when I realised I had a bit of a speed advantage I worried that it was spoiling things a bit. |

I will forever have the shame of my last place finish to you while you were rocking the Mini Cooper S. I have fun no matter where I place. You are pretty darn good behind the wheel and there is no shame in that. We (or to be fair the rest of the group) will battle it out for 2nd with the dream of one day pulling off the upset of epic (let's say US beating England in the 1950 world cup) proportions. Just good to know you use the headset that way we still can communicate to you. -------------

Really had fun last night guys, really appreciate the invite. If we get an even amount sometime, we should play some cat and mouse - I guarantee you will love it, especially if we do Nurbering (sp?) with a superfast car vs. the Mini Cooper. GB, I'm not sure if you knew this, but theycallhimsim (who is Adam and called GB_Simo here) had his headset on the entire time he raced with us last night. He also has Nurbering unlocked, so we may have to let him try hosting one night.

Yes, I saw that Adam shuts off his mic when he games late night (something I should be doing, as I am constantly told .... or at least keep my voice down, which is hard on PGR!). The Cat and Mouse game is played with even number of players. Say we had six playing last night - we would have three teams of two. On each team, you would have one Cat (A class) and one Mouse (usually the Cooper or something comparable). The idea of the Cat on each team is to 1) protect your mouse and 2) knock the hell out of the other mice. We tried this with PGR 3 and it worked great. We also tried it with Forza at one point, but since there was no game play with that built in, we were on the honor system, but it still worked great. The cat/mouse feature on PGR is on the free download. Also, not sure how many of you have NASCAR, but a group over on AGE is going to start up a NASCAR night (again probably on Saturday) and mimic the real schedule. They are going to be committed to NASCAR '08 so that we wouldn't have to switch over to '09 halfway through. If there is any interest, let me know. I'm still on the fence right now, but I have to admit I have been wanting to try NASCAR on MP for awhile (even though I am not a real NASCAR fan, lol .... more of a soccer fan here). |
