It seems as though our current NCAA Football league is not going anywhere. Brent and I have discussed starting a new league that wouldn't require as much time to complete. We'd basically pick our team and play either 2 or 4 games against each of the other league members, depending on how many people join. You'd ALWAYS play with your chosen team. I'd like to require that at least one game be played per week and I'd hand out forfeits unless prior notice was given. Quarter length and skill level have not been determined and we'd like everyone that joins to suggest what they think is best. Brent prefers All-American and I prefer Varsity for the more wide-open offense and it forces the user to play better defense. Also, we're going to stick with playing with the top teams. I'm staying with Georgia and Brent is using Oklahoma. You can feel free to pick any team that you'd like. Please post here if you're interested. In with Florida State. I like the idea of a forfeit if the game isn't played without a reasonable explanation. I like All-American difficulty. 6 or 7 min quarters are fine with me |

No problem, will add them. I would think in most cases (NCAA F/B, NHL, Fifa) we just do a home an away against each team? Something simple? Just tossing around ideas. I like the idea with Tiger Woods of playing each course and double point every 4th course played. Going to go ahead and setup the Tiger one I am going to take Annika Sorenstam for my pro, if that is okay with you guys. She is my favorite golfer. Go ahead and pick yours and I will update. I sent a Fazeo an email. I know he has NCAA Football, NHL 09, Tiger Woods. He doesn't have FIFA, and he just got March Madness 08 (not NCAA Basketball 09).

If it is only the two of us do you want to have a little head to head league (maybe scatter in a couple exhibition game against our teams) or just drop them. Regarding Fifa and CB09. I can pick an equivalent French team to PSV. I could always take Toulouse and sport those crazy purple/pink kits they are sporting. I rarely play with French teams so it would be fresh for me. -------------

Just my opinion, and I don't really care either way... but if we are running a football league with a home and away match for everyone I would love to see home field advantage factor in. I know Jason doesn't like the gimmicks, but I think its a neat addition to the game. Also, if we have a playoff system... it would make it that much more important that you do well in the regular season. My two cents.... and I'm happy to play either way. I'm just looking forward to playing some more games that have a little meaning to them. PS - I'm surprised grambo didn't elect to pick LSU again so he could use half back screens to throw for a million yards on me again. |

Home Field Advantage is the thing where visiting teams get those squiggly lines when the intensity of the crowd is raised. It also affects players morale more if they are doing bad. I would agree with this and even ice the kicker, since we have not used them in the past and they are going to be head to head games. -------------

| I don't know of anyone off the top of my head from AGE that has the game. For whatever reason, age has never attracted many sports gamers. I would safely say they have over two hundred fairly active members and have never been able to establish a Madden league... that is kinda shocking. |

Sorry GB but I lent my copies of Fifa and NHL to a friend. I doubt I will get them back and will probably wait until the 2010 versions. I just burned out on hockey, which is typical for me. I would really like to get a NCAA Basketball league started. Going to make a post at DSP and see if any of those guys are interested. -------------

Yeah, but if you wanted to concentrate on football, why are you giving up on Fifa? I know what you mean about hockey and Texas (and Florida, too). When I first started following hockey there were (gulp) only six teams. When they quickly expanded to first 12 and then 14 teams, hockey purists were pissed. That would be pretty extreme OCD. Mine is really random as to what things bring out the OCD. Perfect example for me is that I can't have certain amounts of money in my wallet. For example I can't have 4 dollar bills. I will just buy something not to have it or will take one dollar and stick it somewhere in the house. -------------
