EA Sports has announced that the MVP Baseball series will now become MVP 06 NCAA Baseball. This is great news for fans of the MVP engine (like myself) that are more concerned with solid gameplay rather than major league rosters.

The game will also debut a new batting and throwing system. My hope is that the developers decided to implement a true zone-hitting batting model as my only complaint with last year's game was the batting system. Hopefully, the throwing system is not drastically changed since the meter-system worked well in the past.
