11:30 should be good.  You're home.

I'm still on, but it looks like it will need to be headset-less tonight.  Sorry!  Good luck!

Congrats Derek!

Derek wins the playoffs in four straight 6-2, 3-2, 4-3, and 2-1.  New Jersey Devils are the SGN NHL 08 champions!

Definitely a fun season and fun series, Ted! (and everyone else who participated!)

I'm still interested in playing this game online more, though, so if folks maybe want to start a new mini-season with different teams, or some sort of international tourney, or a two on two tourney, or whatever, count me in!!!

As far as last night goes, some luck and Brodeur were the difference.  My first goal was an absolutely bizarre one where my guy came around from the back of the net and SLAMMED the puck short-side against the goalie, which caused it to then trickle into the net.  The animation on it was sketchy, too, and I had to check the replay to make sure it didn't go through the back of the net.  It didn't, but it was still one of the 'glitchiest' looking goals I have seen in the series.

Ted must have been rattled, because shortly after that I broke free on a huge breakaway, which I finished 5-hole.  That was the end of my scoring, though.

Ted took a lot of penalties, which hurt him, though he killed them all off nicely, but Brodeur saved my bacon countless times as well.

I had some lag early in the first period, but it disappeared as we played.  All in all a pretty good game.

I'd like to get something going too - I felt bad dropping out in the middle of the season. I know Grambo has a copy and he knows some other guys that play regularly.

Derek, you read my play exactly.  I was still thinking about that glitchy goal when you got that big breakaway.  BTW, that was one sweet move to go five hole.  I had a little lag early in the first, but it cleared up nicely midway through the first.  A typical game for us to end the whole shebang.

I'm still interested in playing this game as well.  Single player is fine, but I'm hoping we can get some regular 2v2's going.  Now that football and hockey are officially over maybe we can try for Thursdays or since Grambo and Jason race regularly on Fridays maybe that would be a good day if it works for Derek.

Edit: any interest in some minor league action?

2 on 2's would be great, and Thursdays are usually good for me too.  I'm up for NHL, minors, international, whatever!

Let's try for a 2v2 this Thursday.  My son is in town and loving NHL so I have my team already.
