   Madden started using the auto-hurdle since the 2005 version and it's been pretty well received from what I've seen.

"Another twist is that quarterbacks are much more mobile than they've ever been before. In previous years, you had to pull the ball down before you could take off, sometimes leaving you vulnerable as you set up to throw the ball once again."

I don't think that's true with last year's (06) game. You could hit X to sprint with your QB without having to bring down (or back up) the passing icons.

I wouldn't mind the seeing the QB throw the ball towards the closest receiver's feet as long as it resulted in a flag a majority if the time.
