It was obviously written before the NCAA 07 patch for the PSP was announced.

I almost stopped here

And it's up to us as gamers to let the developers know we won't take it anymore.

I think that article is a perfect example of glass half empty syndrome in writing.  Harp on the bugs and how they get fixed in next years $50 games (err PATCHES according to the author). Fails to mention the things that get added each year. Sounds like the guy just wanted to get his feelings out in regards to EA. Nothing wrong with that but at the very least make your bleak outlook of sports games have something to do with something people have not been ranting about for years.

Go after Exclusives, Microtransactions, Next Gen Pricing, etc..

If you want to do an article about the screws getting tightened on the sports gamer you have to look no futher then the 360. This is not limited to EA but they have been the biggest offender.

EA Says in late 2005: We did not have time to add in features that have been on existing consoles for years.

EA Says in August 2006: We did not have time to add in features that have been on existing consoles for years.

EA Says to their stockholders:  We darn sure had time to price the game at $59.99 and just for the heck of it, charge the little ******* for every little microtransaction we can come up with.

* Well we eventually think this will all pay off, you know since we did blow a wad on that NFL License, causing us to not meet your expectations and having to report major losess.
