Ervin "The Warrior" Halasz debuted professionally tonight against Bernard Hopkins and was victorious with a 7th round KO.

Ervin traded some close rounds through the first three, cutting B-Hop above the left eye in the second.  B-Hop's corner struggled with his swelling in between following rounds as they tried to focus on controlling the bleeding from the cut.  Ervin did't get away clean as B-Hop came close to knocking him down with some stunning blows in the 5th and 6th.  The Warrior showed his dominance by knocking down B-Hop twice in the fourth and once each in the fifth, sixth, and seventh round.  Halasz expressed respect to B-Hop for getting back up after the fourth knockdown.

Jason "The Sandman" TKO debuted tonight in a 10 round fight against Jake Lamotta in Atlantic city.

Lamotta took the first two rounds and split the third before scoring a knockdown against the Sandman in the fourth.  Jason recovered and found his range, splitting the fifth and sixth rounds and cutting Lamotta both above and below his left eye.  Lamotta suffered a knockdown in the seventh and two in the eighth.  Lamotta's corner struggled to control the bleeding and it looked like the fight might end in a TKO in the 9th.  Lamotta battled back and split the 9th round when he found some rhythym, but knew he needed a knockout in the tenth to avoid a loss.  Despite landing some good shots, Lamotta crumpled once under a brutal kidney shot by the Sandman.  The Sandman finished the job with an overhand right to Lamotta's temple midway through the tenth.  Lamotta gained his feet late in the count only to stumble and fall back to the canvas.  Jason "The Sandman" TKO clinched his first victory, a tenth round KO over Jake Lamotta.

Ervin "The Warrior" Halasz continued his climb into contention tonight with a tenth round knockout of Sugar Ray Leonard in Atlantic City.  Halasz controlled the fight from the opening bell and knocked down Leonard in the second, sixth, and ninth rounds before finishing him off in the tenth with two knockdowns.  The final knockdown occured with only ten seconds left in the fight, but Sugar couldn't find his feet and stumbled back to the canvas.

The Sandman is making his mark in the middleweight division with his second straight win by KO. Sugar Ray Robinson's speed for no match for the Sandman's power as the Sandman dominated the fight before finally knocking out Robinson in the 10th round.
