Jason,

Why don't we finish the career league and the MVP NCAA tourney before we purchase round 3.  Round 3 is really good and I did have fun with my rental, but on the second day I kept thinking, "I'd rather be playing WE online right now".  Round 3 will still be good in 2 or 3 months and it will be fresh.  I can definitely wait until after your wife's birthday.

Another thing I forgot to mention tha I really like is the ability to swith stances on the fly from orthodox to southpaw.  I use this ability alot, mostly to protect cuts, but also I find it confuses my online opponents when they see that jab coming from the other side.  It always seems to take them a full minute to adjust.  It also allows you to throw your signature punch from the opposite side which has just as good results.

In fact I used the switch to win a split decision with Hopkins against De La Hoya.  I was cut bad and coming in every round with 45 - 59% damage on the cut.  I couldn't even address the swelling and was only barely managing the cut.  I switched to southpaw and kept Bob (De La Hoya) at bay for 5 rounds with my jab and some counters when he got too close.

I think Round 3 is far more of a boxing game than a fighting game now.

Ted,

As long as that's ok with you. I'm not in a rush to get Round 3 and would prefer to hold off for a little while.

Ted, very nice write-up!

I really don't like that you fight 'lite' versions of the real fighters, or that you fight yourself.  Definitely personal opinion, of course, but I'd rather they saved them until they were actually 'them,' if you know what I mean.

The mirror image fight is just dumb.

Really enjoying the game.

Mirror image fight?  I didn't even know that was in there.  That does seem like a dumb idea.  Thanks Web.
