Don't think this is coming to the US but it is Europe and other regions

As a game SBK 08 is a pared back, pure racing experience that is a dream come true for two wheeled aficionados to whom realistic control is paramount. Having said that, it does suffer from a noticeable lack of polish in some key areas; namely sterile environments, lengthy load times between races, and some ‘barely there’ audio. While the team has truly nailed the riding engine, it’s quite obvious that the Moto GP games have more in the way of visual bells and whistles, which some fans may miss.

However, those gamers who do know their way around Phillip Island blindfolded will ignore these shortcomings and fall in love with SBK because it handles and feels the way a real motorcycle racing experience ought to. Couple this fact with the comprehensive tuning options that, once tweaked properly, reward you with genuine, palpable benefits for your bike, and SBK 08 is one solid ride.

IGN AU Ratings for SBK-08: Superbike World Championship '08 (X360)
Rating Description
out of 10
6.5 Presentation
The TOCA–esque virtual garage menu system is much appreciated. The pit environment looks great and the various menus and customisation screens are quite intuitive.
7.0 Graphics
The riders and bikes look and move authentically. But everything beyond the race track is sterile and a touch drab. The umbrella girls aren’t as hot as they could be too.
5.5 Sound
The engine noises are decent, and the sparsely available music is comprised of tolerable no name artists. But the lack of in-race music makes for a pretty barren soundscape.
7.5 Gameplay
Has a wonderful sense of speed, weight, and momentum. Whichever difficulty you select SBK is sure to offer up a challenge. The bike customisation is very rewarding too.
7.5 Lasting Appeal
Once you’ve clocked the championship mode there’s the race weekend, twenty challenge missions, and an online multiplayer mode to keep you amused.
7.4
Decent

Thanks for posting that, mate - until this and Eurogamer's preview it was flying under my radar.  Last year's PS2 release was enjoyable, but too easy and marred by framerate issues.  I'm glad to hear that it looks like this year's physics and handling are to be more realistic, since I've been after a decent realistic circuit-based bike game for a long while now.
