Here will be the schedules, results, and discussion of the NCAA 09 Football League. Game Settings: Difficulty: All American Quarter Length: 7 minutes Injuries: On Fatigue: On Fair Play: Off Top 6 go to playoffs. Playoff seeds are 1v6, 2v5, and 3v4. Winner of first playoff game with best overall record gets a bye in the second round and plays for championship against winner of second playoff game. Oklahoma Sooners (96 99 94) (Brent)
Georgia Bulldogs (99 99 99) (Jason)
Ohio State Buckeyes (99 99 99) (Kevin)
USC Trojans (94 90 99) (Ted)
Florida Gators 0-1 (94 96 94) (Grambo)
Clemson Tigers 1-0 (89 90 92) (JaredPK2000)

As soon as I figure out who is what opponent. My thoughts are to try and distribute the opponents based upon points also so we would all get to be about equal as opponents. Not for any reason other than I want to keep one guy from having to be all weak teams or all strong ones. I also need to figure out what to do about the extra games in each box. As has been our custom this is a 0 minimum games per week league and you can play your games in any order. -------------

OK, schedules are complete. Please proofread for errors. If you play someone as your home team three times you will be their opponent team twice. If you play someone as your home team twice you will be their opponent team three times. Here are everyone's overall strength totals as opponents Ted = 973 Jason = 909 Kevin = 937 Brent = 970 Grambo = 976 Jared = 997 Please don't read too much into that. I was trying to make it so the guy with the weakest team going in had a slight advantage as an opponent and the two with the strongest rated teams are slightly disadvantaged as opponents. In the end all that really matters is your record with your "home" team. -------------

My 2 cents All-American - 7 minutes - inj on - fatigue on * Pretty sure from my games with Jason, all of the HFA, Ice kicker and QB are turned off and cant be turned on. -------------

If it is all right with everyone I'm going to add my son to this league as well. He is a Tennessee fan anyway so it will be easy to put him into the league. Plus, with 7 players we can do the 2 and 2 thing instead of swapping the 3 and 2. Any objections to this? If not I'll get Tennessee's schedule and players up by Friday. -------------

I have some family arriving from a flight in right about that time. I know it is pretty early, but 8 pm would work better or later like 11 or 11:30. If those times aren't good how does tomorrow look?

Hey Ted, I will be around Sunday night and Monday morning if you would like to try and get a game or two in. Also, I played two games with Grambo last night. LSU(Jared) 30 vs Grambo(Florida)27 Clemson(Jared) 46 vs Grambo(Boston College) 0 I posted them here since I couldnt seem to be able to update the league. |

I couldn't update the league either. Good games last night Jared, well, at least the first one  That first one though went back and forth. I really thought I had you after that punt return for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. |

| Ted makes a very good point. KU plays Missouri, Nebraska, and K-State as they do every season, but this year they also play Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech from the Big 12 south. If I can muster up one or two wins against Oklahoma, Texas, or Missouri I think I can finish the season with nine wins, top twenty five finish, and a good bowl game. Thats my prediction/hope for the online dynasty. |

I got the league site ready for this league ( http://www.sportsgamingnation.com/leagues/standings.php?conf=8 - NCAA Football League ). All of our chosen teams are in Division I and instead of adding all of the teams we'll use as opponents, I just made teams called Opponent (Jason), etc. and placed them in Division II. For instance, my first game with my chosen team (Georgia) is at home against Jared with Western Kentucky. In this case, we'd record the game as Opponent (Jared) Beat/Lost To Georgia (Jason). I would then put Western Kentucky in the comments field so everyone could see who Jared used. I added Jared and Grambo's two games so everyone can see an example. We had one of the great matchups of all-time tonight. OU (Brent) at Clemson (JaredPK). OU gets ahead 20-3 and have the ball to take a larger lead into the half. Clemson picks it off and ends the half. A quick score for Clemson who defaulted to the second half and a tough defense, helps Clemson to finish half #2 at 20-20. Third overtime and I fumble the ball inside the 5. Clemson takes a few snaps, kicks a field goal and the rest is history. Great game Jared, look forward to future games. -------------

That was one helluva game. All you had to do was run the clock off and end the game. I wouldn't have blamed you at all if you did either. I will remember to be kind and run my offense and not just kill the clock if I am in reversed role against someone else. OU's defense is killer!! I know brent was only blitzing one or two guys at most, but it seemed like the house was coming they were so fast. I adjusted my gameplan in the second half against the 4-4 onslaught and kept calling drag routes to my slot and plays to get B.J. Spiller to the outside. I also opted to start my fastest linebackers to slow the DeMarco Murray onslaught. I still can't believe that fumble wasn't booth reviewed. I guess that was the break I needed after tossing three first half picks, losing my starting tailback, and my "Wes Welker" slot receiver/punt returner standout. |

Ted an I tried to play our game tonight and got disconnected during our first attempt and postponed due to lag on our second attempt. My internet connection has been up and down since yesterday afternoon, so the problem was most likely on my end. On a positive note, I forgot how much fun this game is online and Ted and I talked about being in this league until the end. | With the new party system, maybe when we play versus sports games, we can talk in the party room. That way, if anyone is interested in coming in and hearing a play by play, they can do so. I know this is no great substitute for actually being able to watch the game, but being a fly on the wall every now and then could be fun. |
