Preordered - Release Day - Circuit City - Xbox I am kind of excited about superstar mode (for on field reasons). I might even try running one as an offensive tackle.

Maybe the PSP version, but only after others have verified it doesn't have a gamekilling bug, ala NCAA 07 and the running glitch.
My Xbox still belongs to NFL 2k5. If MAdden on the PSP is a wreck, then it's only 2k5 in 2006 for me.

On the PSP Basically it becomes touch football. The ball gets spotted where first contact is made. So if you get hit after a yard yet break off a ten yard run you only get one yard. Something like that from what I have read. -------------

I was familiar with the running glitch in the PSP version. I thought Matthew was referring to the PS2/Xbox version but after re-reading his post, I'm not sure why I thought that.

Wow Jason you really should have done the Madden pre-order. It's like
Christmas early at Circuit City. I go to pay off Madden 07 which I
only had $10 down on. They say it will be $5.11 to pay it off at full
price plus tax ($54.11). So I am wondering what's going on and they
show me the receipt that has a return of NCAA 07 for $34.99 credit. Now I even tried to tell them that I never returned NCAA 07 and do not recall putting any money down, outside of the $10 pre-order deposit. They say all they can do is go by what the computer says, which obviously they credited me for it by accident. Who am I to tell them their business. So $34.99 for NCAA07 and $15.11 out of pocket for Madden 07 with $12 of that coming back when they have the new price of $37.99 entered next week. So $2.89 for Madden07. The thing I do not get is the math on the receipt. $34.99 credit plus my $10 deposit and the $5.11 they said was left to pay it still puts it $5 sort of $54.11. I have no clue what they did to give me the extra $5. For those who think I have gone of the deep end I am attatching a picture of the receipt. If one of you guys can explain to me where the $5 is I would bow to your mathmatical abilities. I was never good at math. (EDIT had to remove the image) Who needs Fry's when you have Circuit City's pre-order system.
I just know CC has slowly become my favorite place for video games.
With the $8.95 sale they had weeks ago and now this. -------------

I will look but I am hoping for a complete failure. EA's use of ESPN license - Milk consumers for PPV money, show us a bunch of crap we can get from our TV or PC. Integrate little to nothing into the actual presentation of the game. Visual Concepts use of ESPN License - The exact opposite including using the ESPN setup for online leagues. -------------

Unfortuantely I can't find it if there is. It bugs me but I can get over it because I am enjoying things so far. I nitpicked on this last year. EA is such a freaking **** tease. They only let you have that behind the defense view when you are controlling a Superstar Defensive player that you create. I loved doing the rushing drills and controlling a linebacker from that perspective. Why EA do you not let me have that view during regular games and regular mini drills? Why?  Even in the customizable camera you can no longer rotate the camera around to the defense. Oh well it gives me something to look forward to in Madden 08. :) Only played a few minutes, I like to mess around with all the new toys and trinkets. The lead block idea works pretty good and is a nice break from the same ol same ol. -------------

Edit: Forgot to add... You did make sure and do a thorough search of the manual right? At 9 pages you might want to set aside a couple hours.  Geesh sometimes I think EA would be better off just putting a sticker inside the box that says, "Just buy the damn guide - we want more money."-------------

I did you a favor and got rid of it before the ladder got REALLY ugly. I didn't want to put you through that embarassment .Are you still playing NCAA 07? If so, is it holding up well with you?
I finally got a chance to play some Madden 07 games and I'm not minding the Vision Cone on defense as much and I'm pretty happy with the game so far.
Surprisingly, most people feel tha Madden is the more polished game and I feel that NCAA 07 is (minus my camera complaints). While Madden 07 "feels" good, NCAA felt a little bit better. I really wish I could have gotten over the special teams camera  . Also, anyone else seeing slight freezes after a play runs in Madden 07?------------- http://profile.mygamercard.net/JasonSGN">
