FedEx Orange Penn State (10-1) vs. Florida State (8-4)
NCAA 2006
1st Half
A close game through the first half with the score tied at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter and 14-14 at the half.
2nd Half This
is where things get interesting. FSU scores twice to go up 28-14. At
the start of the 4th quarter I kick a FG to bring it to 28-17. A 3 and
out and I drive to the 5 yard line only to fumble the ball away.
Another 3 and out and I score with 2 minutes left on 3 passing plays to
cut it to 28-24. A failed onside kick leads to 3 stops but forces me to
use up all my timeouts. FSU makes a 49 yard FG to go up 31-24. A return
to the 40 and some out patterns allow me to get to the three yard line
with 2 seconds left. I roll to the right and under a blitz get forced
into throing a pick in the end zone.

The Rose Bowl Game Presented by Citi USC (12-0) vs. Texas (12-0)
NCAA 2006
1st Half
I
must have a heightened awareness when I play team I despise (see ND/OSU
game). 2 early picks of Vince Young lead to quick scores and a 17-0 USC
lead at the end of one quarter. USC continues to stop Texas on their
own end of the field throughout the second half and lead 27-0 at the
half.
2nd Half You can't contain Vince young forever and
he breaks off two long runs on scrambles. USC continues to drive the
ball on the ground and in the air at will to finish off Texas and add
another National Championship to their trophy case.
---------------------------------------------------- Final Score: USC 41 Texas 14

TOP: USC 18:19 UT 9:41 Total Offense: USC 373 UT 256 Total Rushing: USC 34-139 UT 24-179 Total Passing: USC 25-37-234, 1INT UT 11-23-79, 1TD 1INT First Downs: USC 17 UT 9 Turnovers: USC 2 UT 3 Sacks: USC 2 UT 1

I don't even follow college football and I can't wait to see this game on Wednesday.

We could use a few more college fans in here. I prefer college Football/Baseball/Hoops to Pro but I follow both. I do plan to run a few similar simulations when March Madness and the College World Series start up. I have always simulated the bracket using CH 2K (user controlling the team I predict to win the championship). The CWS will be simple enough, unless some team sneaks in that is not in the game. I guess I can just use "create a team" if that happens.

Some good games today. I hated to see Tech lose after making the comeback but credit to Bama offense for sacking up and to the kicker for his third game winner of the year, not bad for a guy who is an average kicker at best, and had already missed two earlier in the game. He was clutch this year.
PS to Hawkeye fans. The kid looked to be offsides to me on the onside kick. One good call in a game marred by numerous bad ones.
